Lady Fairhaven, Chairman and founder of Fairhaven and Woods Ltd, received an award for Craftsmanship from Bill Beaumont, rugby legend, at the Awards Ceremony held at Lords Cricket ground on 12th November.
The Stone Awards are a biennial event organised by the Stone Federation, the trade organisation of the Natural Stone Industry. They attract entries from all over the country in a number of different categories.
Judged by a distinguished panel of architects and stone professionals, Fairhaven and Woods received a commendation in the Craftsmanship category for the Atlas Fountain at Kenilworth Castle, completed in 2008.
This demonstrates the continuing exemplary standard of work produced by the Company, which has been recognised twice in the Stone Awards – in 2004, for the Pasticcio in Sir John Soane’s Museum in London, and in 2006 for work to the Temple Bar and St. George’s Bloomsbury.
